One of my listings is a nice 3 bedroom ranch but it needed just a few touches to make it stand out and shine. Painting the trim and professional cleaning, I new would enhance the value of the property and would help sell the property when the right buyer does come along.
At my advice, the seller hired a professional to clean. There was a time limit on the hours to clean the house so it left some important cleaning details undone. Although I'm not a professional I rolled up my sleaves Before the open house and did some detail cleaning and painted the base boards and trim. I spent about 6 hours on the property scrubbing and painting, it did make a difference. We did get a offer that weekend even though it was declined by the Seller.
The house hasn't sold yet but the buyers that have viewed the property have had nothing but good remarks to say about the property, it just hasn't the right fit for the buyers that have viewed the property so far. It will Sell when the right buyer comes along because the house shows well and the price is right.
